ISM Seminar: Changing Lives Through Music, 27 February, London

The Incorporated Society of Musicians (ISM) next one-day seminar, Changing Lives Through Music, will explore music’s power to change lives and how performers and teachers can be transformed by the experiences of those with whom they interact. It’s being held in London on Saturday 27 February at Kings Place.The keynote speaker is Christina Coker OBE, Chief Executive of Youth Music. Peter Garden, Executive Director for Learning & Engagement for the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic will speak about the orchestra’s involvement with the In Harmony programme, which is inspired by the Venezuelan project El Sistema and Suzi Digby OBE and Michael Stocks from the Voices Foundation will lead workshop sessions for early years, key stage 1 and key stage 2.Lunch and refreshments are included in the seminar fees.Standard rate £100, student rate £10.For further information and to book places go to our website or email fiona@ism.org
