Musical Futures teacher training available in 2011-12

Musical Futures is running a training/CPD programme for teachers and music practitioners. Delivered by classroom music teachers who have experience of managing MF in a real school situation, each training course provides practical, hands-on workshops of MF approaches, as well as providing plenty of opportunities to network and share good practice. This year our courses are as follows:
•         An Introduction to Musical Futures: for those new to MF to provide confidence and resources to get started
•         Applying Musical Futures: an in-depth look at how MF approaches can be built into existing schemes of work
•         Transition into MF: using the MF Passenger transition materials, this course will focus on the transition from primary music learning into Musical Futures learning in secondary schools
•         MF Live: An opportunity to observe a MF lesson and have an informal chat with staff and students afterwards
All courses are free of charge, and are open to anybody – from classroom teachers and peripatetic teachers, to Music Service/Local Authority staff, community musicians, students, and other arts and education professionals.
A flyer advertising the training courses is attached here. A list of courses for 2011-2012 is available at www.musicalfutures.org.uk/training. Further courses will be added over the coming weeks.
