Research for Ofqual - 'A' Level Qualifications and Subject Criteria Documentation (including 'A' Level Music & Music Technology)
Our organisation, Pye Tait Consulting, has been contracted by Ofqual to carry out research that may lead to a major review of the criteria documentation for GCSE and GCE ‘A’ Level qualifications. We have launched an online survey aimed primarily at subject associations, teaching unions, learned bodies, examiners and senior markers, as well as teaching professionals. The purpose will be to gather views around whether the criteria documentation for a sample of subjects (which includes Music & Music Technology at 'A' Level) are fit for purpose. Where you are/required to be familiar with these documents as part of your role, we would be interested in your views and comments. All individual responses will be treated anonymously in our report to Ofqual in due course. The following link contains background information and a gateway tot he survey (which will take 20-30 minutes to complete): http://www.pyetait.com/surveyzone/ofqual.asp The deadline for responses is 2nd February 2012. Please note that this review is focussed on the documentation themselves, as opposed to course 'content'.We hope this will be of interest and we look forward to hearing from you.
