“Excellent! The best INSET course I’ve been on!” Ian Tunnell, Delegate at the 2009 Windsor Castle INSET.
Inspire-works will be returning to St George’s School Windsor Castle for their lively INSET sessions which provide teachers with the necessary tools for teaching Balinese gamelan music, West African drumming and Brazilian samba in the classroom and enhance their practical work with pupils. In these fully ‘hands-on’ sessions, all participants will play Inspire-works authentic Balinese gamelan orchestra, Brazilian samba drums and Ghanaian djembés.
In these dynamic and fun sessions our highly experienced facilitators will make references to how the Balinese Arts, West African Drumming or Brazilian samba relate to the Key Stages 1, 2, & 3 National Curriculum and to Key Stage 4 and 5 qualifications. They will share a wide range of ideas and offer very practical advice on how to teach these styles in the classroom.
Extensive workshop notes are provided for all participants including sample lesson plans.
PLACES ARE STRICTLY LIMITED!
